Sculptra differs from the more well-known hyaluronic acid fillers (Restylane, Juvederm, and Voluma) in that it doesn’t stay in your body as a filler. It stimulates your body to make more collagen so the added volume is ultimately your own tissue. It acts slowly, so results are not appreciated for several months after beginning a Sculptra treatment series. The effects of Sculptra will eventually diminish if not maintained. It cannot be reversed the same way the other (HA) fillers can be.
