What is hydradermabrasion, and why does it matter?
“Hydradermabrasion” is a big word that simply means that a HydraFacial provides a gentler approach to dermabrasion and exfoliation.
Rather than taking the traditional route with a microdermabrasion wand, we instead use a method that relies on water pressure and other serums to moisturize, brighten, plump, and protect your skin—all while giving you the same, or better, results than older, harsher exfoliation methods.
The HydraFacial machine’s unique handpiece contains spiralized tips that boast “vortex-fusion technology” to both remove all the harmful dirt, debris, and oil from your pores while leaving behind, and reinforcing, the good oils and bacteria that keep your skin gorgeous.

What can I expect during a HydraFacial near me?
When you come to see the experienced Entre Nous team for your HydraFacial, get ready to feel relaxed and pampered.
First, we will ask you to remove your makeup (if you wear any to your appointment). We will also provide you with a terry headband or a towel to protect your hair, and you will lie comfortably on your back throughout the procedure.
Step 1: Cleansing & Physical Exfoliation
Your HydraFacial specialist will first use the machine’s deplaning tool over your entire face and neck. This pressurized water treatment is designed to open up your pores and sweep away leftover makeup and other debris.
This step also provides gentle physical exfoliation, which removes dead skin cells clinging to the skin and encourages new cell turnover.
Step 2: Chemical Exfoliation
Next, we apply a gentle glycolic & salicylic acid peel that may give you a light tingle as it works. Chemical exfoliation is an extremely important part of regular exfoliation and helps provide the base for healthy skin.
The glycolic acid dissolves any remaining dead skin cells and debris on the skin’s surface, while the salicylic acid penetrates deeper into pores and can help clear any pimples or blackheads you may be experiencing.

Step 3: Extractions
Using HydraFacial’s vortex-extraction nozzle (which is essentially a mini vacuum), we can literally suck all the remaining oil and debris out of your pores. This can further address stubborn, lingering acne and blackheads.
Pro tip: There is a cup at the base of the machine where you can see everything we extracted from your pores. Dr. Pimple Popper fans, we’re betting this is the step you’ll most enjoy. Trust us, there’s always more than you think in there!
Step 4: Serum Infusion
Using the vortex-infusion HydraFacial attachment, we infuse antioxidant-and-moisture-rich serums into your now deeply clean skin to promote elasticity and long-lasting hydration.

Is there any downtime or side effects to expect after a HydraFacial?
One of our favorite parts about the HydraFacial is that there are no side effects or downtime to be expected at all! Those with more sensitive skin may be slightly pink for an hour or two following the treatment, but otherwise you are free to put makeup on and continue your day as normal.
