The Dose Matters as Much as the Product
Botox dosed unit by unit based on your specific muscle strength, not a standard package applied to every patient.
Botox in Palo Alto softens expression lines by relaxing the muscle beneath them, but how well that works depends heavily on dosing, not just the injection itself. It suits patients who want results to hold up under close scrutiny: video calls, well-lit meetings, a face that still moves naturally when they laugh or react.
Two patients with the same line can need very different unit counts, depending on how strong the underlying muscle is. At Entre Nous Aesthetics, your provider maps your movement before recommending a dose, rather than defaulting to a standard dosage. We’d rather use fewer units and get it right than oversell.

Why Unit Count Isn’t One-Size-Fits-All
Botox in Palo Alto works by temporarily relaxing the muscles responsible for specific expression lines, but the amount needed varies significantly from patient to patient. A stronger glabella muscle, for instance, may need noticeably more units than a weaker one to achieve the same softening, which is why standardized unit packages often produce inconsistent results.
Your provider maps your muscle movement while you frown, raise your brows, and smile, assessing strength before recommending a specific dose for each area. Areas like the forehead often need a more conservative approach to avoid a heavy, flat look, while stronger muscles like the glabella tolerate more product. This calibration is why 2 patients treating the same line can walk out with different unit counts and nearly identical results.
